The Holiday Article By Leslie Jacobs

Do you know the best way to cope with stress during the holidays? It is a very simple, yet effective way to alleviate the holiday stress. Now, with the rushing around, the mad dash to forget something is eliminated by a very simple invention. It is the list.

Sit down at the beginning of the holiday season and write everything you need to do and the date it needs to be done by. Now you have one way organized people get stress out of the way. Using this list as your basis for everything you do this holiday season, you will plan your shopping trips for food, presents, and everything else. Here are few more tips to get rid of that ache in the pit of your stomach called stress.

Send Happy New Year cards instead of Christmas cards. (Yes, I am calling it Christmas) You can write and mail them after Christmas day and still have time to enjoy the holiday. Send the cards to people you have NOT seen this year. Or, better yet, call them and wish them a Happy New Year. If you have a cell phone, and haven’t used all of your minutes, it’s a free call.

If you do not want to gain the usual 8 – 12 holiday pounds, stop eating at 7:30 pm. You can spend your time wrapping presents, re-writing your list and planning your shopping trips for maximum time usage. You still may gain wait, but not as much as in the past. You may actually use this trick for the rest of the year.

Look at all of your holiday decorations. What aren’t you using this time? Did you use them last year? It will probably be the same this year…so pack them up, donate everything you didn’t use, or don’t love to a charity. You will start the New Year conquering the clutter.

Look at the list and decide what shopping trips you can combine and do both together.

Shop on line. I did all of my shopping on line during my lunch hour. Usually I like to wait until December 23. I know exactly what I am buying for everyone in my family and if the store doesn’t have it, the person gets a gift certificate. This technique worked until a few years ago when I started shopping on line. Most of the presents are bought on eBay and everyone loves them. Try it. Just remember to use a reputable site.

These are just some of the organizing cards you will receive.

Les Mess Organizing Cards TM Patented # 78499581 (C 2004)
Official PayPal Seal
Les Mess, organizing cards for kids (ages 5-12), will help get their room and your house organized and clutter-free.

Shuffle the cards, pick one and do what is on the card. Each card has a time limit on it. If you finish in time you get a prize (Mom and Dad do this part), and there are cards with ideas of great prizes. These prizes do not bring more clutter into the house.

These organizing cards teach children to put things away, what to keep and what to toss. They will learn through getting organized, how to sort and will create a habit of picking up every day. After all, isn’t teaching our kids how to be organized and clutter-free a part of being a parent…and sometimes learning should be fun too! It's NOT just a game, it's a way of life.

Does your man (husband, partner, lover or boyfriend) help you with the chores while complaining all the way?

I have the perfect solution for him. I have created Les Mess for MEN. These cards offer him a choice, if he picks the right card. It could be a chore, a chance to play Golf, get out of the dog house for FREE, or a night with the boys. Or, if you prefer, I have included blank cards for YOU(the wife, partner ,lover or girlfriend) to add your own chore to. The game is simple, pick a card, do what is on the card, and then turn it over…there is something on the back you have to do too---(very easy and lots of fun!)

Every man and woman will enjoy these cards…and your house will be a home, organized and clutter-free!
